About the shop
One shop. Five people. Since 2009.
I’m Dana Whitfield. I grew up in Millbrook, did my apprenticeship with my uncle, and then spent eleven years at one of the big regional companies. I got good at the work there. I also got tired of being handed a sales script and a quota.
So in 2009 I bought a used Ford van and painted a red stripe down the side, and Ridgeview Plumbing & Drain started out of my garage. We moved into the shop on Example Ave in 2016. These days we run three vans.
“Nobody here works on commission. Fix what’s broken, charge what we said, clean up after ourselves.”
That’s pretty much the whole business plan. We do a lot of repeat work. Plenty of our customers have had us out for a clogged drain, then a water heater, then their kid’s first house.
